Abstract

Let p1 ≡ p2 ≡ 1.mod 4/be primes and (formula present). Assume that Cl2(k), the 2-class group of k, is of type (2, 2), (2, 4) or (2, 2, 2). We use these fields k to give examples that illustrate the relationship between group theory and the capitulation problem. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2016.
