Abstract
An amorphous Ising thin film has been studied within an effective-field theory. Phase diagrams and magnetization of the system are studied. In this work the exchange integral in the surface of the film is assumed to be different from the one existing in the inner layers. We found that depending on the value of this anisotropy near the surface region, the film critical temperature may be higher than that of the three-dimensional system.
