Abstract

The dashboard is a synthetic document that presents briefly the visual information via performance indicators. This latter are composite indicators based on several basic indicators. However, at the beginning of the 1990s, the Kaplan and Norton Balanced Scorecard (BSC) which is the object of our research have appeared. In this work, we will show the importance of this tool compared to the conventional dashboard through a study of a Moroccan Food Company. This comparison allows us to find a gap in the Balanced Scorecard which concerns the absence of an axis that traits health and safety at work and environment. Then, we will adopt the indicators of this company to a new proposed model of the Balanced Scorecard. This will be also useful to propose the establishment of the cause and effect relationship between the six perspectives of the BSC in the future work.
