Abstract

In this paper we present a synthesis of the current mode second order band pass filter constituted by current conveyor circuits. For that, the optimal sizing of CMOS positive second-generation Current Conveyors (CCII+) using a nature-inspired algorithm called Genetic Algorithm (GA) is presented, this technique has been employed to obtain the optimal physical dimensions of the constituent PMOS and NMOS transistors of the CCII+, that provide to this circuit the best performances. The optimized CCII+ configuration is used as a building block of the current mode second order band pass filter. A comparison between the performances reached by the GA and others Meta-heuristics from literature was made in this article. PSPICE simulation is used to validate the obtained results/performances. © 2019 IEEE.
